I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember *
As a kid, I was glued to the TV watching Looney Tunes, The A-Team, He-Man, Transformers and Thundercats. Basically training for a lifetime of bad one-liners and heroic poses. Saturday mornings were sacred.
Then came the 70s and 80s movies. The kind with Harryhausens stop-motion genius, David Bowie as a Goblin King and getting lost with the Goonies. My teenage years? A glorious mix of horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and Manga – basically every genre that made me question my sanity and fuel my imagination. Spoiler: I still love it.
People kept telling me, “You should be a tattoo artist!” For years I ignored them like a bad cliffhanger, but eventually, I got the message. Before ink took over, I spent nearly two decades in graphic design, helping everyone from small startups to huge global brands. It was a great gig, but my heart belonged to freehand art – the kind that doesn’t come with a Ctrl+Z.
Now, I’m diving headfirst into the art and tattoo world. Still learning the tattoo ropes, but thanks to my artist roots, I’m off to a flying start (or at least a confident jog).
When I’m not creating, you’ll find me wandering Margates beaches, spinning vinyl, or trying to convince my wife and our children that I’m “totally responsible.”
That’s my story so far. If you’re into what you see (or just want to geek out over 80s movies), feel free to reach out.
*But I sleep, sometimes!
