“You should become a tattoo artists!”
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was obsessed with cartoons – Looney Tunes, Roger Rabbit, He-Man and Thundercats were my top go-to inspirations.
Growing up, I was drawn to 80s classics like Clash of the Titans and Labyrinth. And my teen years? Horror, fantasy, sci-fi and Manga were my thing (still are, actually).
For years, after seeing my art, people kept saying “You should be a tattoo artist!” I guess I was a bit slow to take their advice, but I finally made the leap. Before tattooing, I spent nearly 20 years in graphic design, working with everything from startups to big global brands. It was a great career, but my heart has always been in art – freehand art, to be specific.
It’s that passion that has led me to the world of tattoos. I’m still learning, of course, but my years of experience as an artist have given me a huge head start.
When I’m not tattooing, you’ll find me by the beach here in Margate, walking by the sea and perhaps spinning some vinyl. I live with my beautiful wife Gemma, our three children, and our dog Max.
That’s all I’ve got. If you like the look of my previous work on this site, and want to chat about a design you have in mind – please do get in touch.
I look forward to working with you.
